We regret that the Hospital Art Foundation is unable to accept donations at this time. This is the result of a review being conducted by the Pasqua and General Hospitals related to the presence and display of flammable materials. We are not party to this review and cannot provide an estimate as to when it will be completed or what the final results will be. In the interim, we are suggesting that donations be made to seniors residences or the Stephen Lewis Foundation Group "Grandmothers for Grandmothers". They hold a yearly art sale to raise funds to help support families in Africa affected by AIDS. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and will update our website as additional information becomes available.
Of necessity, our health-care budgets must be spent on increasingly sophisticated (and expensive) pieces of equipment, major building projects and the provision of the very best professional services. Public sector funding is just not available for programs that provide a more comfortable, less austere environment in our hospitals. THE HOSPITAL ART FOUNDATION was created to address that need — and you can play a part.
Help us to change from austere to colourful, from dreary to exciting, from sterile to warm and friendly — just by donating a painting, a print, a serigraph or ceramic hanging.
All donors of paintings or pictures will be acknowledged with a small donor card placed near the picture. On it is shown the name of the artist, the title if any, the name(s) of the donor and a record number. "In memory of" will not be permitted.
Just contact THE HOSPITAL ART FOUNDATION and say "I have a painting I would like to donate". Arrangements will be made to receive your donation.
